So, you know, I think the way Jesse and the health sports science team is managing it is they're listening to him.
If he's not feeling 100%, I think anybody would want to play in that situation.
But we got to manage those expectations with reality, right?
If the injury is not fully healed, you don't want to put a guy in to then have to make a sub back out.
That would be detrimental to us and to the whole program moving forward because you put a guy in and then you've got to take him out because he's re-injured again.
You don't want to do that, right?
You want to respect the player.
Hey, at the end of the day, results speaks volumes.
So if you're winning, that's your job as a coach, right?
His job was to go into this World Cup.
We're playing at home and make it out, at least make it out in the group stage.
We've done that.
And not only have we done that, we've done that in style.
You know, yes, we played against a Swiss team 2-1.
Not a bad...
not a bad loss right considering again so many guys are injured so many factors adjustments you know the two middle midfield we play with a guy that hasn't played one minute in the tournament and a guy who's played limited minute tournaments in saliba i thought he did fantastic and he deserved to start against um uh south africa yesterday south africa yes you know so
I think what Jesse brings to the table is something we need.
And something we need to be proud of.
I think we share that in hockey.
We go on the ice and say, you know what?
