I didn't expect him to get out.

This is America.

So when he stabbed the nigga, I was like, oh, he going to jail for life.

I never once thought otherwise.

You know what I'm saying?

Yeah, that's a huge difference.

I got a theory.

I've been trying to talk about this shit on stage.

I think because liberal white people gentrify our hoods, we're becoming liberal white people, and that hurts us.

Does that make sense?

Because politically, sure, we kind of align with these niggas most of the time, right?

Most black people vote like liberal white people.

But that's it.

We're very different outside of that.

Well, it's performative, but they also super optimistic because they fighting for oppression they're not going through.

And that becomes us as a culture because we have proximity to them.

So we keep on merging with these niggas just based on, even when we're not trying to.

The fact that we got to be in the same neighborhoods with them, it happens, right?

And then we become overly optimistic.

And then when a tragedy happens in our community or we don't have justice in our community, we feel more robbed than we would have felt before because we're becoming these white people who believe that justice is coming.
