A teacher from the Hill Country College Prep School in Bulverde, Texas, outside San Antonio, is still in the hospital after being shot by a student Monday.

That 15-year-old student later died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Questions remain as to what motivated the student to do this, but investigators learned the child got the firearm from the home of a grandfather.

The .357 Magnum revolver had been accessible inside the home.

It's not clear if the grandfather knew the gun had been taken.

The school remains closed but is expected to reopen next Tuesday.
