I was chatting to some travel agents this morning.
They don't have a lot of people in the affected areas like Madrid.
People don't go to Madrid from Ireland in July and August, usually because it's too hot.
So it's really more about France and the campsite areas.
Yeah, I mean, look, I always take an annual policy every year, Ciara, because it means there's no hassle for me because, you know, it depends when you book a holiday, you need to book insurance straight away.
Not like if you're trying to book it now, you know, and you're going to an affected area, that's problematic for you.
So again, yeah, I would say make sure that you have a comprehensive policy.
It needs to include cover for natural disasters.
Now, under travel insurance, I mean, legally, natural disasters are not normally covered, but things like your accommodation expenses.
So you say to people always like keep your receipt, keep everything that you've spent and keep your receipts if you're going to make a claim.
But just make sure that you do have that extra cover, especially here with the way things are these days.
With, you know, increased heat waves, increased disruption, you know, it's very, very important.
You cannot have enough insurance.
No, no, it's not.
And I mean, look, I have booked holidays and booked flights myself, Ciarán, you know, I cancelled them because I didn't feel like, you know, I wanted to go.
You lose the money, that's it, you know, safety is very important.
The other thing I would say to people here as well is make sure, like, if you are travelling anywhere, you have your phone fully charged, have power pack, banks with you, have the passports and stuff in areas you can grab them immediately, just things like that.

has great information there all about, you know, areas and what to do and what not to do.
But look, if you're not comfortable about going somewhere, the only thing I would say, engage with whoever you've booked with and see if you can change your dates.
