You may have it at different brokerages, at different financial advisors, but it's one basket.

It's not only legal.
Lots of people do that.
And it's good tax risk diversification.
That's the other great thing about a Roth.
Not only is it tax-free, but the tax-free element, I call it tax insurance.
Insurance against what the uncertainty of what future higher tax rates might do to your retirement savings.
And then you might want to hedge your bets and keep some in IRAs and some in 401ks because some people feel maybe I'll be in a lower bracket in retirement.
