We're sort of decent on third and fourth best, maybe on a really good day at the right track at Monaco, we can do something.
But it's a real cure-its-egg Ferrari season, isn't it?
Next question from Adam Smith.
It may be too early to draw conclusions, but considering his sharp increase in form over the last two events, has Franco Colopinso finally made the step it was hoped or expected would come from him?
He's certainly looking very good.
I think actually having these two really strong weekends where the pace is there consistently rather than in fits and starts is really important for him.
And that's only going to just give him really, really good confidence.
He was actually
happier with this weekend than the miami weekend so that's that's really really positive the qualifying form was was the big problem early on because i was really holding him back but he's taking a step there yes he had the different the new chassis in in miami it's only about two kilos difference in weight so a little bit of performance in that but actually the big step for colopinso is he's just as he talked about
He did quite a lot of work before Miami, just kind of understanding where he can improve as well.
And he's applied that really, really impressively, which is good.
And I'm hoping this is kind of his new baseline and he's there and he's consistently putting on his performances we know he's capable of.
If he continues at this level, then absolutely he'll stay on with Alpine, won't he?
Which will be very, very good news because as we've always said, there's a driver in there in Colopinto and we've seen it in fits and starts and not so much Alpine, but now we're really seeing it.
So I think that's extremely positive.
Yeah, absolutely, and good work to him.
I know there's sort of this push to try and attribute it all to things Alpine have done, but I think that does call up into actually a huge disservice.
um he's he's made a he's made a very very good step just in terms of stringing all together those flashes so uh hopefully this is what we'll continue to see there's no reason why not right josh shane h says i don't want to be overly negative as i think both the sprint race and the main race were really enjoyable and action-packed but i don't understand why this season we don't seem to get replays of key moments and incidents like we've done in the past it's
Is F1 trying too hard to show that the product is fine and there are no problems in F1?
By focusing on the action rather than telling the story of the race, I would have loved to have seen multiple replays from different angles of so many parts of that race today that we just didn't get.
