has done a story about this as a video on YouTube as well.
So check that out if you want a little bit more on it.
But how they've used a rules concession, if you like, in terms of what you're judging as what kind of parts and whether various volumes apply in terms of is a floor a floor, is it a side pod?
And that's just classic Red Bull.
It's all about the sharp edge down at the back of the side pod, isn't it?
Because it's an aerodynamic shape in that situation.
It does seem that there's this kind of ruthless drive, isn't there, within Red Bull to find all these things.
I mean, all F1 teams are working at outrageous pace and thinking about all these things.
But Red Bull do seem to have that edge.
They really set standards for that over a long period of time, in fact, in terms of look how many technical controversies.
there have been about them and people like to simplify it as oh it's just cheating or whatever or it's all fine but it's actually that diving into the grey areas that not taking no for an answer and saying we can't do anything it's like we are going to find something even if it's only half a tenth that it's worth we will find something and we will exploit it
What is interesting, though, John, is this is a Red Bull team that's changed, referred to in the introduction as Red Bull 2.0, because, obviously, Dietrich Mateschitz of Red Bull, he passed away in 2022.
Christian Horner's gone, Helmut Marko's gone, Adrian Newey's gone, Jonathan Wheatley's gone.
All manner of names, perhaps slightly less celebrated, but massively important for that team, have moved on.
Red Bull itself has got greater control over the team.
That's actually something you talk about a lot in the book, the perception it was Team Horner.
But this is a different Red Bull, isn't it?
So that's a really fascinating question, whether those qualities that made it so successful are still there and how far along it really is in this process of imagining, if you like, stage two of Red Bull racing.
Yeah, again, that's the thing that you talk about in the book.
But Matt, obviously you're not embedded with Red Bull Racing this year, but you saw a lot of that change.
