I just always heard if you're young, you probably should not be messing with weights because then you it stunts your growth.
Any truth to that?
There is truth for young athletes that if they start lifting too young, you potentially stunt their growth or stunt their ability to grow into a big athlete.

You tell them to lift lighter, higher repetitions.
And then as they develop their body more, maybe after high school, maybe they can start developing or incorporating heavier weights.

Um, and being that he's got your, it should be good with 10 pounds though, right?
Oh yeah.
10 pounds is fine.
Just nothing, nothing high impact and nothing super, super heavy.
And I don't know if you remember in high school, there's a lot of ego with boys in the gym and like, oh, I can bench press 200 pounds.
I'm like, I'm not eating 200 pounds.
I am not going to try that.
