The thing that emanated through was his confidence.
confidence experience and almost um expectance that we're going to win this bruv and uh and i'm going to pull you through no matter what and that's exactly what i think he did and to alex's credit he had a brilliant shot into the 17th the par three which looked like quite a tough par three with water left and into wind so i think alex played his fair share as well it's um
you know, it's fair to say throughout the week.
And, uh, I was delighted to see, and actually the people that I thought most of immediately afterwards, Russell and Sue, um, because I think like you guys, uh, they're a wonderful family and, and I've spoken to them over the years and it was only at the Dunhill last year.
We were talking for a good 10 minutes at King's Barnes about dogs and golf and, um, just absolutely delighted for the family as a whole and how proud they must be.
Yeah, I think it's fair to say Matt didn't have his best stuff on the Sunday.
I go back to the putt he held on the 15th.
I think he held a putt from about eight foot for par, which was a crucial putt to hole.
I think Matt just stood up on the two or three shots when he really needed to on those final four, in spite not being in full control of his game.
I think I agree with you, Andrew, what you said at the start, however, that for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, this was a real challenge.
bonus and we've touched on this in the last year or two how fortunate the PGA Tour have been actually on their non-signature event weeks to have some great storylines emerge and of course this is another one so for the PGA Tour it's a win because it could easily have been a damp squib of a tournament but yeah it worked out in the end and two Norwegians as well in the pair of Christophers which I'm sure you would have picked up on Andrew but great to see the Europeans coming to the fore in team golf once more.
And it would be great to have the insurance of playing with your brother who's world number three.
And on the topic of insurance, I think in many respects, this is just payback to Zurich, who have been a great partner for the PGA Tour.
And so to give them, as the title sponsor, that ensures that they're more likely to get better players to play.
So I think in a roundabout way, it's another way of the PGA Tour supporting a long-term standing sponsor and they want to keep them in the good books.
I think we are starting to see the early signs of the Brian Rolap era emerge, I think.
The two Hawaii events have gone from next year.
The talk of there being a more scarce calendar coming
with larger fields than are currently in place.
