I spoke to someone very senior at the tour and said, you know, could you have some kind of relationship?
Would you be a welcoming ground for players coming back?
And the word was, well, not without some kind of reparation because they've done us serious damage.
You know, HSBC are a Liv sponsor now.
They were previously a DP World Tour sponsor.
Rolex are still a DP World Tour sponsor, but they're in with Liv now.
as well Valderrama setting up tournaments in various places that have been traditional DP World Tour European Tour bases as well so there has to be some kind of reparation there I suppose the other question is that if Saudi Arabia still wants a footprint in golf and as that article you were talking about Andrew pointed out
that golf could be a very important part of the evolution of Saudi Arabia.
So it does make sense for them to have some kind of involvement in tournament play, although his suggestion was way better, wasn't it, to just design a string of golf courses along unlimited beaches in Saudi Arabia and get the best designers in the world to do that and put all the investment into that rather than tournament play, and you would develop a golf industry.
But just to say that if they wanted to have some kind of influence in professional golf, then they could do it at more realistic levels through the DP World Tour.
And in a way that would still work with the DP World Tour being associated with the PGA Tour.
And that might be a likely way.
But the other question that is there is, you know, there's $15 million worth of investment into the women's game through the Ladies European Tour from the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.
Where does that sit now?
I just started wondering whether my Senior Railcard would get me free access.
You had to think about it, though.
I was thinking about this yesterday because I was flicking between the two, Mexico City and the Heritage.
