And, you know, a couple of times they'd actually stopped and put out security and bought pommy granites from him and all this sort of thing.
And, well, this one day one of the guys was like, oh, where's old mate?
Next thing you know, fucking boom.
Like whether he'd been murdered or they'd just kidnapped him and said, we're going to blow up your fruit stand today.
And they'd put like a couple of daisy-chained fucking 155 artillery shells in this fucking fruit stand.
dead donkeys on the side of the road with artillery shells sewn into their fucking bellies, you know, and just crazy, man.
Like you wonder why some of these guys that, you know, come back and they don't like sitting in traffic jams and –

But I guess like I was just sort of, it was day in, day out, man, you know.
And we talked about it a little bit earlier.
Like that's where I met Troy Knight over in Iraq.
You know, he was over there working for Armour Group at the time.
Well, he had been working for Armour Group and then a very good friend of mine, Addo, who's no longer with us, rest in peace, but like Addo and Troy worked for an American company called Cochise Consultancy and they'd met each other and flown over to El Paso in Texas to do the train up because you had to go and do like a train up to work for this company.
And I'd been chatting with – there used to be an old forum, you might have heard of it, called SockNet.
Yeah.
So I was on SockNet and Troy was on SockNet and we used to DM each other and then we met up in the green zone for a coffee one day and then we ran into each other when he re-enlisted, you know, and came to two-commando.
Highly respected fucking JTAC, you know, but –
But, yeah, you know, I wasn't out running convoys like those boys were, man.
