You know, and then, yeah, like I finished school in 96 and I just didn't really have any aspirations to go.
I actually competed in snowboarding.
Because a lot of people don't, like Aubrey Wodonga's sort of not on the base of the Victorian snowy mountain.
I actually ended up, a lot of people don't know this about me, a few of the boys in the army did, but I actually represented Australia at the Junior World Championships in Ruka in Finland in Giant Slalom.
So it wasn't half pipe or anything, it was alpine snowboarding.
So like GS, Slalom.
They don't really do it anymore.
And I also went to the world championships, like the FIS, like Federation International to Ski World Championships in Corneille Scala in Italy.
So I did that when I finished school and I was at a crossroads whether or not I could look at going professional.
The Olympic Games was coming up in Nagano in Japan.
And the main sort of Australian snowboarder at the time was a guy called Zeke Stegall and his sister Izali Stegall, who represented in the moguls.

He became a teal politician and took Tony Abbott's seat.
But yeah, Zeke was kind of, he was a few years older than me and they come from quite a wealthy family and there's no money in Australian snow sports.
You can only compete if you come from a family with money.
Of course, yeah.
So, yeah, so I joined the Army.
Yeah, yeah.
So that's – so to break it down, my – so we have a family lineage that goes back to the First World War.
We don't have anyone that was involved in the Boer War, but the First World War –
