The company was run by former SAS officers, Bob Hunter, Peter Toundrow, Mark Broome, and another fellow South African Rhodesian SAS guy.
And look, they were great guys to work for.
It was a good company.
The Iraqi – Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq, we supported their, you know, the rolling out, setting up of ballots for the first election after Saddam went down.
And, yeah, we basically had to like facilitate –
the distribution, collection, transportation of bowl collection materials for the IECI.
And that was like heavily overseen by, you know, obviously other parties because, you know, it had to be seen to be fair and transparent.
And you probably remember the footage back then, you know, the Iraqi people walking out of the ballot box holding their fingers up.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, because of the record keeping.
Yeah, the permanent ink that they'd have to put on their index finger and –
And, look, it was an exciting time, man.
You know, like a lot of the Iraqi people, I got a lot of time for, you know, the Iraqi people that I worked with and met over there.
Like, yeah, I mean, I'm not, yeah, I work with some pretty decent people, man, like interpreters and, you know, some of these senior people from the IECI, like the Iraqi people that work for the Electoral Commission at great risk to themselves.
And they just, they had pure hearts.
