I don't know how to do it well.
Like this is probably why I've stuck with Sergey for so long because I trust him and he trusts me.
And like, I know that he, he's a good engineering manager.
He can hire and fire and you can get shit done.
Like the hardest part of doing remote is like a figuring out if they're any good and then making sure they stay good.
Because a lot of the time, like you hire someone, they're amazing for a month.
And then all of a sudden, like you clearly cannot be working on this full time anymore.
Like you must be taking other projects because things are ground to a halt.
I mean, I've had situations where
Where like people do, I hire people and all of a sudden, like halfway through a project, they stop responding to emails.
And I'm like, I mean, are you dead?
Like, did you get run over?
What happened?
They're going to hold them.
I think there's one guy in particular, I think I own, I owe like two or $3,000 to him because he never even stopped, completely stopped responding to my emails, never did any more check-ins and didn't even send me an invoice for the work that he had done.
