But we kind of always took this view of like, we're an American company, but if we want the best of the best to work with us, we need to take a global view.
Now we do also have people here in Silicon Valley, like the company's grown and others.
But I think one of the things that it slowed us down at the beginning, but it has sped us up now.
And it's why you're seeing like the progress, I think, on our models and the cadence that which we release is because we didn't roll out of an existing lab.

We didn't we didn't actually have a lot of the information that's really flowing around here at the time.
We just kind of took this point of view is like, OK, well, let's just work the problem.
Let's just go and like read a few papers that are out there and let's just figure this stuff out.
And we made some hilarious mistakes in model training because of that over the years, like especially the first 12 months.
There's a few that I think still haunt me and scare me.
We can talk about them later.
But it kind of created a like a resiliency and persistency in the team.
Right.
With extremely few people have left us over the years that like told us, OK, we can do this.
When we first wrote our first training code base completely from scratch, it wasn't a fork of any open source.
It was like, OK, let's build it from scratch.
I remember we had this one moment where we spent three weeks working out an optimizer bug.
Like it was like training just couldn't get stable.
We like obsessed over it.
And we thought like maybe we were wrong.
