But no, the temperatures are going back up again this week.

And in the south, you know, I was asking friends who live down south and they're going, yeah, no, it hasn't really abated.

And we're not sure when it will.

This is very much being linked to climate change.

Climatologists and meteorologists I've spoken to have said, you know, this is the new normal.

Since 22 and even since 2019, we have seen a pattern of increased heat waves, increased intensity of heat waves and longer heat waves.

Don't forget, this year, the heat wave started in May.

That is highly unusual.

And

You know, we've had three heatwaves already and July isn't over.

August is the traditional heatwave month.

So we could yet have another two.

Yes, Paris was a pioneer of scooters, especially scooters for hire.

But the infuriated motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, as the users, frequently ignored the rules on where to ride and park them.

So in 2023, e-scooters for hire were banned across the French capital.
