Th the w we now have the ability to engage that latent space uh linguistically where the perceptual information kind of lives, um this universal embedding of it, and then do whatever we need to do with it.
If I need to answer this question about it, I can answer that question.
If you ask me a different question, I can answer that.
But there isn't a singular meaning um of microphone uh that
that captures sort of the entire set of facts.
The here it is.
Here's the em embedded set of facts.
There's this the set of facts is is is actually infinite.
I could tell you infinite things about this microphone.
Uh right.
For starters, you know, to use a silly philosophical example, it d it doesn't have this shape and it doesn't have that shape.
Right.
I could tell you there's so there's a a an infinite number of questions you could ask me about it that I could answer meaningfully about it.
So all those potentialities are kind of
uh what when what happens when the linguistic system interacts with this this uh kind of shared embedding space.
That's sort of the the half-baked version of how I think language ultimately does have to inter of course langu language
only is meaningful insofar as it can live within the larger ecosystem um of perception.
and and sensation and perception.
We have to be able to take in information through our senses and then
communicate, although I don't want to I use that word late uh kind of carefully, I don't communicate the entire uh uh representation because as I said, that that that there that I don't think that's even a meaningful idea.
