Yeah.
I was really hurt.
I was just so hurt.
I suppose a part of me felt like, God, like, just Brenda not believe me, like.
Because you know, when you're coming from any form of abuse, like, you know, p people don't believe your story and don't believe you.
And so I just felt I had the courage.
And I also suppose um I was being that voice for everyone out there that doesn't have a voice, you know, and it just it hurt me.
It just devastated me.

So I'm here today to tell my story, my lived experience and my truth as my children and I lived it and witnessed it.
This podcast is for every man, woman and child who are or have been at the receiving end of any form of abuse.
I am sharing my story from a place of love, light, hope and good intention.
My voice will not be silenced it stands for every single one of you who has ever felt unheard, dismissed or silenced in any way.
If my story gives even one person the courage to speak, to seek help, or simply to know they are not alone, then every step of this journey will have been worth it.
This is my truth.
This is my voice, and today I choose to be hurt.
Okay, so I grew up in a in a village it was quite quite village.
