She was Irish.
And
Irish and she was a cook.
That's how she gave them all typhoid.
Well, the thing is she wouldn't give up being a cook.
Everyone was like, Listen, Mary, this is how you spread in the typhoid and she was like, Yeah, but like, I'm really good at it.
Uh look, if you ignore the typhoid, I'm a great cook.
No, we can't ignore the typhoid.
Just a speck of it.
Anyway, and luckily, because we're in uh an era before child labour laws, Henry and the doctor strike up an accord, and Henry starts to do chores for the doctor.
So now they've got an income, they've got a water source, they've got a roof over their heads, they're nailing it.
Have you ever considered when your council house has mould, have you ever considered just going into the woods and living like a nineteen twenties child?
Have you done that?
No.
Well then you haven't really tried.
But you know what?
It may be in Andy Burnham's Britain that's going to be forward.
Oh God.
So they've basically nailed it.
Also I should say the doctor I've forgotten his name finds Henry charming that he wants to do these chores instead of like, why is this small child doing all these things by himself?
