So it was day two of these interviews and the officers presented Boy B with some damning evidence and that was some of the forensic tests had actually come back earlier than expected.
It was actually the test on Boy A's boots.
Do you remember his boots were sent off because he got jumped and they wanted to find out who jumped him?
Well actually those boots proved very useful in
Anna's investigation.
They actually couldn't find any evidence on those boots relating to his attackers, you know the guys that jumped him, they couldn't find any DNA from any man on those boots actually for that matter, but the DNA that they did find on those boots
was all Anna Creasel's blood.
So police told Boy B that they'd found this blood on his friend's shoes and the way that Boy B reacted, right, he turned to the police and he went, are you joking?
Obviously the police were like, well, no, we're the police, we don't joke.
They said to him it wasn't a joking matter and that they were very serious.
And he looked pale as a ghost as soon as they told him this.
Like, this affected him.
He asked if he could go out for a breather, actually, because he thought he was going to be sick.
So he went and stood outside for a while and then he came back in and he very much denied that he had anything to do with...
anything that Boy A had done to Anna.
Boy B said he had no idea how Anna's blood had got on Boy A's shoes.
He had no idea that Boy A had even attacked Anna.
But as the interview was going on, police started to see Boy B's cover story wearing away
and they started to see little glimmers of the truth, things that he'd been hiding the whole time.
But then on the fourth day of the interrogation, so this was going on for a long, long time, on the fourth day, there was one hell of a bombshell.
