Right now, I think both of the boys are 17, which means actually that they're almost 18, which means they'll be leaving the youth detention centres soon enough and go into the big scary world of

adult prisons.

Even though both boys' identities have always been kept anonymous, and they always will be actually, their identities are protected forever.

But despite that, we know very basic things about their childhood and neither of them actually had any red flags in their childhood.

There was no abuse, no mental illness, no bullying, no trauma that we know of.

I mean, they were very normal boys from nice, loving, middle-class families

they had a great childhood.

There was absolutely nothing that could have indicated that they were going to turn out like this.

But yeah, like I said, their identities are going to be protected for the rest of their lives, just like Thompson and Venables.

If you've heard of the James Bulger case, I actually did a video on it if you're interested, it's quite an old video so it's maybe not that good now, but James Bulger was a toddler who was murdered by two young boys.

They were very young at the time and

It's a very similar case to this actually.

But now those killers, Thompson and Venables, are older, they're out of prison with their new protected identities and they're both just living a normal life, walking amongst us, these two child murderers.

That's actually probably a lie though because Venables

is a repeat offender.

He's always in prison for like child porn and stuff these days, so who knows, he's probably actually not amongst us.

But Thompson, I've actually read somewhere, I can't remember where I read this so maybe don't quote me on it, but I've read that he's married with kids and his wife actually knows who he is, which is scary.

And it's scary to think that these two boys might be walking amongst us in like

10 years time, less than.
