He'd done so much charity work, in fact, that he was given a Pride of Britain award, which is a big deal.

He was very highly regarded.

And the summer that he died, it was the summer of 2012, which was when we had the London Olympics, and they were doing the whole uh running with the torch ceremony and everything.

They wanted love

Loads of notable people throughout the UK to like run with this torch through the streets.

And David Rathband was gonna be one of them because of all of the charity work he'd done.

But unfortunately, he committed suicide before he was due to run with a torch.

And so in his place, his daughter decided to do it, and she did it blindfolded as a tribute to her father, which I thought was lovely.
