And there's a certain group of people who just have a knee jerk reaction that true crime shouldn't be made, that any attempt to tell that story is glamorization.
And as I said before, we don't tell people not to make stories about X, Y, or Z. Why would we avoid telling stories about one of the most fundamental aspects of
of the human condition, just to demonstrate how you can't win no matter what in this category for those who charge glamorization.
When Conversations with a Killer came out, it's a very detailed accounting of all the gross things he did.
It's inside his mind why he did what he did.
how he did what he did.
Like, you know, very few details are spared.
It's a hard show to watch.
And when that show came out and the trailer came out, I was excoriated by that group of people.
Look at all this violence.
How can you show this?
You're glamorizing Bundy by showing all this violence.
Okay.
Note to self.
Now I make a movie called Extremely Wicked in which it has very little violence.
The whole point of the movie is you don't see any act of killing.
