Turns out it's going to be shut down and rebranded for a spectacular result.

He says the president made the recommendation to completely close the center for two years instead of keeping it partially open to undergo renovations after one rear review of the arts building conducted by the contractors and musical art institutions, yada, yada.
He said if they don't close, that the quality of the construction will not be nearly as good.
And he noted that the decision to close the center for two years is totally subject to the board approval.
NPR is having a heyday with this.
