So I'm inside of our state Senate building.

We have a delegation of nearly, uh, 30, uh, us representatives here.

Uh, this is unprecedented.

I don't think this has ever happened, uh, in our state's history.

Uh, we also have several senators who are also here.

So it's, it's a combined, um, uh, formal meeting that they're having in which they're taking testimony.

It appears though our attorney general is testifying, the mayor of Minneapolis, the mayor of St.

Paul are also testifying, and some of us community advocates.

I'm not testifying, but the executive director of CARE Minnesota, he's going to be one of the testifiers.

So this hearing is happening right now.

I'll be honest, the opening speeches by the representatives that are chairing it was exceedingly powerful.

I'm appreciative of this delegation coming into town.

Representative Crockett is here.

I'm a fan of hers.

I think that she has a strong voice.

And lots of members from the Congressional Black Caucus and others are here.

And so that meeting is happening right now.

I just learned about it last night and I was fortunate to get an invite.

So that's what's happening right now.

And hopefully they're sending a strong message to our local leadership and leadership nationally about the state of threat that we are in and what really needs to be done and what needs to be said and what leadership looks like.
