Mother Fletcher, as she was known, was just seven when her family fled the racist attack that destroyed the prosperous neighborhood known as Black Wall Street.

She later testified before a House committee.

Though Fletcher received private donations over the years, her legal bid for reparations from the government for its role in the destruction foundered.

She leaves behind Lessie Benningfield Randall, now the only known living survivor of the massacre.
