This was an attempt to shut down a constitutional process on January sixth.

And Trump's really saying these acts are not worthy of punishment.

But yeah, I mean, for sure we might say that on the there I'm I'm certain there were people who disagreed with it at the time.

But it's not quite the same political statement, isn't it?

I mean I think the the same the same idea of mass political pardons and you know they did in fact violate the law, but here, you know, you might say that the the attack on the capital was a kind of attack on the very structure of the democratic process.

And Trump's undoing of it, which was well within his power, is a way of saying, This is completely fake.

There's nothing that they did wrong.

In effect, you know, you could do it all again, it'll be fine.

I mean, that's essentially the message of it.

There's no punishment whatsoever.
