The day...
that the task force came to our house was the day we knew they're going to find this guy.
I think they had already at that point had him in mind, but that was the first time that we were informed rather than us finding out from the media, which is not always true.
There was a lot of lies being spread and a lot of mistruths.
So we never knew, you know, like what was real and what wasn't.
And then they called one day and said, can you come to New York?
And I said, oh yeah, we could probably come, you know, like on the weekend or do you, what, when do you, can we come get you tonight?
So they wanted to make sure we didn't hear from the press.
They sent somebody who was in Buffalo, New York, drove to pick us up.
And we drove all through the night in the pouring rain to get there so that they could let us know where the previous person
would let us hear whatever in the news.
They didn't care.
We found out that Megan was a part of Gilgo Four at the time because I was having all these.
They found a body.
They found a body.
They came to get DNA.
They found out on Megan's birthday.
and called the next day to tell my mom that she had been identified.
They hadn't called them the Gilgo Four at the time, not when they first found them, and maybe when they were four, because there was a lot of talk still with Shannon Gilbert's family, because she was still missing.
So we didn't know if it was going to be five or however that was going to work out.
