And so, I mean, it's not funny, but honestly, there were some times that I didn't know which was worse, being actually raped or just listening to them talk all the time.

It never ended.

And they had told me all this stuff.

They told me all their experiences.

And I remember...

I remember just being like, well, I know I'm not supposed to talk about my family.

I know I'm not supposed to talk about my life prior to being rescued.

But my parents, they always picked me up and dropped me off.

I never had to rely on public transportation.

I mean...

I think it's probably important for me to experience hitchhiking because in my mind, it's like, oh, no, like we'll be in close proximity with lots of different people.

Surely someone's going to notice that something's not right here.

And Wanda Barzee, she didn't really like hitchhiking.

Well, no, Brian Mitchell, he really didn't like that idea initially.

But Wanda Barzee, she didn't like the thought of me ever having an easier life than her on any level.

And so she was like, oh, I think she's right.

This is another test of faith.

This is another stepping stone in our spiritual journey.

She needs to see what God can do.

And actually, that is how it was decided.
