I didn't realize yelling was a trigger for me.
For the first few years of our marriage, we had a lot of issues of him thinking I'm trying to micromanage the way that he's parenting and I'm trying to tell him what to do.
I'm not trying to be.
A hundred percent.
And two, because...
We have Paris and Kate.
So we didn't have a kid together yet.
He's trying to help me parent them because Michael is like they would go to their grandparents and sometimes Michael would be there.
Sometimes he wouldn't.
It was just like whatever.
So he thought, oh, because of your kids, you don't want me to tell him anything.
Oh.
You know, like, oh, if Paris did something or if she was back talking to me, if she was being sass mouth with me.
And he'd be like, hey, don't talk to your mama like that.
And if I felt like his tone was elevated, I'd be like, it's fine.
I got it.
It's fine.
And he's like, let me, like, it's fine.
Like, why are you, like, I can't say nothing.
And I'm like, calm.
