Item six point one is our housing element program one point one G, zoning precise plan and general plan amendments.

A little bit of the background on this housing element itself.

The sixth cycle of housing element developed between 2021 and 2023 included several outreach activities to create programs to meet the city's RENA requirements and further

sites across the entire city and the viability of sites based upon quality, age, size,

buildings,

highest opportunity neighborhoods.

The Journal Plan Mixed Use Village Center Land Use is a set of existing mixed-use development policies that preserve the existing commercial zoning but allow opportunities for multifamily housing.

The locations for these developments are determined by the journal plan through mixed use designations.

However, the zoning district remains

residential uses as described uh at at densities prescribed by the housing element.

One key difference is the nineteen forty nine Grant Road amendments, which proposes densities to allow thirty

direction, staff reviewed existing resources to help small businesses

here on the slide.
