Dr. Anna Baith does amazing research.
She did this media poll and she found that in articles that are about trans athletes, less than 8% name a trans athlete, less than 2% quote them.
So we are talking about trans athletes without talking to them.
And I think that's a huge problem.
And I think it's bad journalism.
Yeah.
So at bare minimum, one thing the book is trying to do is let trans athletes tell their story and share it.
We interviewed 25 athletes, age range 8 to 59.
Fascinating.
We could do a whole show on that.
They had very varied experiences.
And I think that that's one of the things that became crystal clear in this project is that whenever you see trans
Something that wants to ban all trans athletes at every age, at every level, from every sport.
That's a lazy policy.
It's just unnecessary.
Our bodies are complex and nuanced.
Sports are complex and nuanced.
And so I'm going to call for more complex and nuanced conversation and policy around it.
