And yeah, it made me cry heaps.
It's like wonderful storytelling.
So it's an Australian made animated kids show and it follows a family of blue and red healers.
The central character is Bluey.
It's important to note Bluey is a girl.
She's often misgendered, but pronouns are she, her.
Yeah, I think people hear Bluey boy, but that's just a little bit of gender bias, but that's another podcast.
Bluey does have a little sister called Bingo and also parents Bandit and Chili.
And there's a bunch of other characters in the show.
They're all different breeds of dogs and they kind of look and feel very much like the human communities that we have here in Australia.
Each episode is roughly seven minutes long and it usually follows a plot line of the kids sort of dragging their dad into these wild imaginative scenarios that have a little bit of a moral lesson in them.
And it first aired back in October 2018 and it was produced by the ABC in collaboration with the BBC, which is what we're going to be talking about today.
Since that first episode, it's now won three Logies, two international Emmys and a Peabody Award, which is insane.
And a fun fact is that the kids who voice the kid characters in the show are actually the children of most of the production crew that work on the show.
It's really sweet.
And also they have never been credited and that's because they want those kids to have a normal life and still be able to grow up sort of away from the limelight of a massive show like this.
Yeah, it's a really.
It's like Hannah Montana.
I feel like we're going to get something when those kids are like 15 or 16 where they come onto TikTok and they're like, it's me.
