I think because that whole experience and โ
part of my life, it felt like it ran a really, really natural course for lots of reasons, not just, I guess, within me, but the context of the environment at the time.
When I started playing both sports, they were really semi-professional for women.
I don't think anyone was really earning a living from playing football or cricket.
Karen Roulton, who was the captain of the Australian team when I first came in, she went for Australia Post.
It still does, actually, I think.
But yeah, she was full-time at Australia Post and took time off work to go and play a little captain in her country.
That was the kind of context.
And then I guess the way things had panned out since then.
Both sports started progressing and particularly cricket in Australia went full-time.
Probably a little bit before football.
And it just felt like a natural kind of evolution of not just like, I guess my career, but, but for everyone.
So I never really consciously had to make a choice.
It felt like it just unfolded in this like really natural, amazing way.
And I was so lucky to be a part of it.
I mean, sometimes I don't feel grounded.
I think like there's definitely an element of being a human being, of just competing in sport as well, where like I feel like I get way too competitive or like my ego takes over and like...
