But I think there's kind of like this sense of like, well, let's just see what pans out.
I think I just like to derive deeper meaning from things than just β
I guess what's on face value or surface value or something.
Yeah, I also understand why it's like that.
And it's a beautiful β like, it adds so much to a game and it's a beautiful part of it.
Like, one of my favourite cricket memories is Steve Waugh's 100 off the last ball of the day in an Ashes Test.
I can't remember what year it was, but I happened to be there at the ground at the time and I was β I think I was 11 or 12.
And I still think about that now.
So it's like β
It's not β it's a really important part of the game, but it's not everything.
And I think probably from my perspective, like β
I need deeper meaning to things to find them fulfilling.
Um, so if I was just chasing how many hundreds I've scored across my career, I think I'd find that really hollow and boring.
And well, I just wouldn't be able to come up with an identity for myself that meant something.
Um, if it was just based on facts and sorry, stats and, um, achievements from like, you know, I guess, uh, um,
superficial kind of way.

Yeah, there's an entertainment value in it, yes.
No, neither do I, but it is.
But it is.
