No, I refuse to play golf.
There's something about individual sports that I've never found the same level of enjoyment from.
Like, I think...
And I'm so glad that I did those things as a kid.
Like I turned up to the start line athletics or swimming or cross country, played some tennis, played some golf when I was a kid.
But I just never got any joy out of it.
I never walked away from those events with the same sense of kind of like happiness that I do from competing with the team.
And I think by and large that's because β
Yeah, you're not really sharing... You can't share to the same extent those feelings or that sense of accomplishment when you've worked together to achieve something or, on the other hand, gone through, like, the ringer together and had a really terrible day and, like...
Need to pick yourself back up and have another go.
I think doing that by yourself, I just always felt really lonely and a bit hollow to me.
It was also like lining up on the starting line.
You can't be friends with the kids next to you because you want to beat each other.
Whereas at least when you walk out onto a field...
you're friends with 10 other girls um you might not be friends with the uh you know and when i say friends you know in that moment like you know you you're fiercely competing against another team but at least you've got 10 girls with you so yeah i i love that um i still love the fact that you've you've got to take self-responsibility you know as a member of a team and like do your role but you're doing it for other people as well is there something that elise perry did
Yeah, and that's changed, like, as I've changed, I think.
Well, it's just resonated for the period of time.
Or changed for you.
Changed for me, yeah.
So, yeah, yeah, you're right.
