My dad is like the most placid, docile guy.
just not fazed by anything.
I'm pretty sure he just used to stand there and just let me have at it.
And it didn't happen a lot, but when it did, yeah.
And then, like, I did kind of just peter out and then he just threw balls at me.
But, yeah, I mean, there would probably be a quiet word in the car on the way home.
Oh, like, Dad, can I get an ice cream?
Yeah, well, fortunately slash very unfortunately, Dad was a maths teacher as well.
But, yeah, we did lots of times tables in the car.
We used to dread a red light because we'd be like, right, six times six.
Yeah, and actually I missed a lot of school towards the back end of high school and I vividly remember Dad teaching me basically the entire maths curriculum one weekend before the HSC exam and I was just bawling, like in tears, sitting there like, I hate this.
But he was so good and he'd go and get me a hot Milo just to ease the pain.
He's just the most patient, placid man and just always bends and flows with like, with his family.
Um, you know, and so I think no matter what I've kind of been going through, like he's just constantly there.
He doesn't have a strong opinion on how I should do it or why I'm doing it.
He just is interested in me and, and what I'm, what I'm doing.
Um, yeah, I, I think you've just got to be, be open to it.
