Um, and I guess in that sense, like fight every urge to, to like cow within your own shell.
Um, actually this reminds me, it's a bit of a random story, but, um, last year I went to a, a retreat in New Zealand.
I've never been to a retreat before, but.
Like a health and wellness retreat, I suppose.
And part of it was one of the days we fasted, but we also didn't speak.
So it was a silent day.
My best friend was there, but everyone else was strangers.
There was 20 of us, most amazing people I've ever met, still in contact with quite a few of them.
On this day where we were fasting and also it was a silent day, so there was no verbal communication with anyone.
And perhaps because of this, everything was heightened.
But I'd be walking on the property and you'd be approaching someone, someone I didn't know that well.
from a distance, and I realized for the first time ever how anxious I am about initial interaction with someone because I'd see them and my mind would be like, oh my God, what am I going to say?
Like, make sure you're not weird.
Like, make sure you make them feel great.
And then this whole sense of relief, I don't have to say anything.
And it took so, or gave me so much mental energy back when I realized for this day, I don't have to overthink every interaction that I have with another person.
Um, it was just, it was more so that day.
Like I was like, oh my gosh.
