Tell us why the Bears are at 11 as opposed to higher or lower.

Yeah, I mean, it's obviously there's

a lot of gray area there between probably the top tier, you know, at the bottom tier, there's that middle group that you could argue is maybe 20 teams big right now.

with some of the top guys getting hurt and such and that may be more in the afc than the nfc but still applies and so you also have to factor in all the you know the net losses and gains in the off season and how much you can realistically expect from a rookie class year one and obviously the the bad teams are going to get a bigger boost because a lot of them are going to be thrusting some of those young guys in the lineup the bears are kind of in a position now where

Eric, I got to ask you about the defensive side and component of this, because I feel like why they have slipped in your power rankings is because you probably have the same question, which I think everybody has, which is how are they going to be better at stopping the run and affecting the quarterback?

They weren't good at that.

They were good at taking the ball away, but they weren't necessarily good at those two things.

And outside of just hoping people get healthy next year, they don't seem to have an answer to how they've improved in that area.

You know, turnovers, yeah, there have been some historical outliers where teams have been able to create turnovers consistently for a long stretch of time.
