a sense of what the answer might look like.
Like I don't know the answer, but I have a sense of what form the answer might take, what kind of answer might satisfy me.
And then I think about the hard problem and I can't really even just form a concept of what what kind of of answer t could possibly be satisfying or what what form that answer might take.
Uh so it's not and it's not a matter of
uh looking through the possible options and trying to figure out which one is right or anything like that.
It's really just a case of I can't see how any possible answer could ever resolve this question.
Uh which I guess in some ways does does make me tempted to to sympathize with those who say it's not really a question because if we can't envision what
what the answer could possibly be, then perhaps it just isn't a meaningful question.
But at the same time I guess uh
Yeah.
Okay, the the options are really I either it's not a question at all or it's a question that's that's so sort of beyond our current cognitive capacity that we just can't even envision what a good answer to that question would look like.
But yeah, I think for me it diff differs sort of quite qualitatively from other sorts of questions I worry about in my work because of all of those those other kinds of questions I have some idea of what I'm looking for and then I think about the hard problem and I just I have no idea what that would look like.
is

I am c I am limited to uh, you know, what's going on in my mind and and in some sense what's gonna happen in in the future of this the what's called causally continuous with me.
But the the sense of being confined to this this one very specific spatiotemporal region.
and that there being this big world out there that I can only ever learn about inferentially.
I remember remember f feeling quite sort of
shocked and upset about that.
Um and uh
