disagree on causation?
I think perhaps you maybe have more sympathy for the idea that it could be a directed notion of microphysical causation.

Because I think for many people that is th the directedness is at the heart of causation.
I have a quote I've forgotten who it's from, but from s someone that I use a lot which says, the concept of caus of causation just is about asymmetry.
That's the whole point of it.
Uh so I think that that
holding the view that there's something like causation but that it's not directed or asymmetric at a microphysical level, uh, you know, forces you to re to reject a lot of what the the sort of s standard ideas about what causation is, and also I think uh forces you to ask a lot of questions about um
how do how do we end up with the sort of well ordered structure despite the absence of any any directedness or asymmetry.
Um so although it seems like a small difference, I do think that that in in the devils and the details in this particular case is quite an important difference.
Yeah, I think one thing we do agree on perhaps is that you know I I also am inclined have always been inclined to be quite eliminativist about causation and think it's it's a macroscopic thing.
Uh but what I do think is important is to say that clearly the microscopic world has some kind of structure.
And although I wouldn't necessarily call it causal, it is similar to causation in the sense that seems like it is related to counterfactual statements that you might make.
Uh it seems like it's it's modal.
and this the is the word philosophers would use, but it seems like it has it's not just sort of bare correlations, it has some kind of law-like force.
It has to be that way.
