I mean that's quite a common uh type of problem that we see even in fairly standard physics.
Um, but it's also not not the only kind kind of possibility.
Uh when I talk about all at once or constraint-based laws, I usually talk about uh the laws of nature fixing, you know, determining the whole history at once.
Um so in that sense, often it will be the case that you can fix any state anywhere on the history, and that will be sufficient to fix the rest.
So it could be the initial state, could be the final state, could be one or more states in between.
Um, in that sense, in that kind of picture, no no particular point of time has to be specially privileged.
It's just the history as a whole, which is selected by the laws.
Um I think the transactional interpretation is is certainly interesting.
Uh I you know, I'm interested in these these kinds of retrocausal models.
Um
I I guess I would like to see see more emphasis from the transactional interpretation uh on moving away from specific experimental situations to a more more general picture where I can understand how the experimental situations and the observers in particular are supposed to arise from something uh more fundamental than that.
Um in in some cases the transactional interpretation seems to me overly focused on a setup where we already have where the instruments

concern was that if you imagine an experiment in which uh
We take some sort of preliminary measurement in the middle of the experiment and then we use that to determine part of the the final conditions, the final measurement we're going to make.
That looks inconsistent with the most naive version of the transactional interpretation, because the transactional interpretation uh is supposed to take the initial and final conditions and uh determine what happens in between.
So you can make make that become contradictory.
Uh so there are more
more um sophisticated versions of the transactional interpretation which avoid this issue.
