And so I wanted to bring the gentleman that was helpful in getting this, the director of housing, to explain how this process works and how we are fortunate to be able to
add 239 affordable units to the city.
Sir.
Before Mr. Wayne steps away, I would love to ask him some questions that he provided us ahead of time of the council meeting.
What are the safeguards in place to help prevent wage theft in our city, especially in use of our funds being used?
Thank you, Mr. Chen.
I do have a council member.
I don't know.
Oh yeah, Council Member Kamei.
She has a question for you.
Great, thanks.
Thanks so much.
So I just had a question, because my understanding too is when the city has projects on our website, we have a kind of a status page.
how the projects are going and so um you know i don't i think that information is readily available so hopefully people will be able to check back there in terms of status on the project if there's any types of concerns that pop up but i also know that we've been working with the county with the office of labor standards enforcement and so maybe you could talk a little bit about that and um because i think there's safeguards there that they help provide to to the city the 15 cities in the county
as we're looking at situations like this that may
well.
Thank you, Mr. Wayne.
Thank you, Council Member Kamei.
I'll just say that it's not out of the ordinary.
Well, it is a little out of the ordinary for projects to be essentially challenged or flagged during a TEFRA hearing.
