So my
that Rock Street should be turned into a flashing red lights, which is also used on El Camino and Sunnyvale.
So it's not unheard of that all vehicles must stop
because frequently vehicles go through 35 to 45 miles an hour.
And frequently when Mark the crossing guard is trying to help us cross in the morning, he is literally putting his body out on the line and both of us are getting potentially almost hit because people either try to fly through because they don't wanna stop or they literally try to turn left or to turn right in front of us or behind us.
So I want it to be red flashing lights,
and also have it designated as an actual school zone with the appropriate fines and tickets associated with that.
For these other intersections, I want to just maybe propose a simple addition of having flags that people can use to help them cross and have the entire street be 25 miles an hour.
You will not make the streets safer unless it is slower.
And people, it's 35, but people go 45, even 50.
I'm not kidding you.
It happens constantly.
And if a police officer was stationed right there on right by that Rock Street in Middlefield, oh, man, they'd get so much revenue.
And so I really wanted to extend a school zone from Old Middlefield Way all the way to Jane Lane.
I want that to be a school zone because there are children crossing to Crittenden.
There are children crossing to Monteloma, where my children go.
And there are also tons of bike commuters that use that avenue, which is a designated bike avenue, to get to the different Caltrain stations.
So I really urge you guys, please consider that when you're looking at these alternatives because neither of A, B, and C are enough, and they don't actually address one of the most dangerous intersections, which is at Rock Street.
