so what do you hope to get the outcome of this if we put this moratorium in place?

That ICE is not gonna come to Mountain View and find a plot of land that's as hard to find or an office complex like Shenandoah, well that's federal, that we would prevent them from building a facility in Mountain View?

So I could probably take this answer.

I actually just had Congressman Liccardo just had a North Santa Clara County leaders meeting earlier today, right before this meeting.

And he met with the mayor's, North County mayor.

So it was me, Mayor Vinker, Mayor Meadows, and Mayor Bajeev.

And so we asked, I asked, particularly that was a concern for me and Tom Myers was also in that meeting with me.

We're like, hey, what about Shenandoah Square and what about Moffett Field?

And the way Congressman Liccardo was kind of framing it is that it's almost like creating like this, we are just covering the land that we can and then we're gonna, there are probably other mechanisms to fight

having Shenandoah Square and Moffett Field.

What he's relying on there is that other federal agencies will be fighting for their own land kind of thing, for what they want to use their own land.

And he told me the joy of bureaucracy will be fighting for that, but we need to

the net on our own land, essentially.

I also went to the press conference that Congressman Liccardo, Councilmember Kamei was also with me.

That was on August 5th, where it was in San Jose, right in front of their city hall, as they were reviewing the toolkit.

They are trying to make this easy for cities to pass, essentially.

and I'm sure that they will offer resources for us to figure that out.

My understanding from the meeting earlier today, Los Altos will also be taking it up in a couple weeks.

If it's not clear, I'm very supportive of some motion.

Oh, but I also heard the city attorney say that she would like to gather information from other cities and get a better idea of what's happening.
