There are uh some defined processes in the proposed ordinance where a property owner could make an application for removal from the register.

Um those include uh religious use exemptions as an example, economic hardship as another example.

Um so there is process for an owner to seek removal, whereas there is not currently process in the city's existing ordinance.

Um the city could also at some point in the future update uh the register.

Perhaps best practice now finds that uh an uh uh resource is not uh justifying of uh of listing um or other circumstances such as a degraded condition or what have you justify removal.

The city could then initiate that process and bear the cost of the environmental review.
