So I'm trying to narrow it but part of part of why we ended up here tonight was

We have this mismatch between you know one of the one of the things that we have with the old ordinance is we have this mismatch between what is on a local register and what either is already on a state or national register or is already eligible for a state or national register.

And I think some of the comments earlier and frustrations that we heard earlier, which are very valid.

are about the latter.

Their eligibility for state and or and or national registers that we have no control over.

uh uh if I had control over that I might make additional decisions, but I I can't I can't help that, I can't influence that, at least not in my current position.

So one of the things that we're trying to do as part of this process is make sure that there isn't a mismatch between those.

And so many of the properties on this list, even despite owner opposition, are already eligible for the state or national registry or are already on them.

We can't do anything about that.

What we can do is make sure that our list is aligned with that list so that no one is surprised and

frustrated in the future like they are now um because there's a mismatch between those registries.

So I'm taking those out of this list um because I think those should be on the local registry or sorry.

I I'm including those on the local registry because we don't really have an option there and it would be kind of silly for us to just stick our heads in the sand and say

Um we're just gonna pretend that you're not on the state or national registrar eligible for it.

But I I think we need uh so between now and December, if someone wants to try and convince me that that is not the best path forward, I am all ears.
