look over of our whole city and the h whole historic resources of our city, comparing it with the state and national registries to figure out what do we truly deem as historic.

As we saw, there were some that were deemed historic by the state or possibly historic by the state and national registries.

So if they weren't, and you had the owners say, like, we don't want it here, um, we were fine.

We removed that.

And we made those decisions now.

We made those decisions early, and now we have this ordinance hopefully in place so that when something comes along.

A few years from now, they know if they wanna do any kind of development on it, it is on the historic register and it has a list of things that they wanna do in order to develop it that we don't have to deal with

Um so that's I'm glad that we've finally taken the time to really look at our properties holistically.

Um and determine what kind of procedures we want to move forward as a city, still respecting that balance of private property rights and the historic relevance to our city.
