You can't step into the same river twice because the person in the river is not the same.

So you can't go back, but you can always, you can always pivot and you can, you know, you're never too old to do that.

And, you know, in all of my books, I think the characters, something happens, whether it's good news or bad news.

I mean, you know, will you marry me?

Or, you know, just pregnancy tests.

Those are usually great, you know, scenarios, but it still causes like a, you know,

a fork in the road, like life changes.

So whether it's good news or bad news, a phone call, whether it's turning 30, my first novel when I wrote it when I was 29, it was about turning 30 and just like how horrible that is.

Horrible.

You know, but now it's like turning, you know, I turned 50 a couple of years ago where I'm about to be an empty nester.

And you can always kind of reinvent yourself.

And I've learned that from my characters.

And I think that's just important for all of us to realize you're not stuck

in any situation um well i mean motherhood you're kind of stuck for 18 years but but that's a joy that's a joy in its own way but you can move you can get a new job you can get a you know you can get a divorce although y'all aren't allowed to get a divorce but um oh he's stuck with me i just i will never get divorced because we don't have time to cheat on each other well not not that that's the only reason people get divorced i don't have the ability to do a lot of paperwork
