Print on demand is basically just a fulfillment method.
So how it works is you look for what's selling on Etsy, you know, what's popular, what's trending out in the world, what are people wanting?
And based on that, you create a design.
And as you had mentioned, I didn't have any graphic design experience.
And Canva is a great tool for beginners and even now a few years and I still use it every single day.
But Canva is a great tool.
So I use Canva primarily.
come up with a very simple design and then you put it on a product.
I use Printify, which is my main print partner, I would call them.
They're wonderful and they have a catalog of hundreds and hundreds of products.
So think of anything from t-shirts and sweatshirts, which is most commonly thought of with print on demand, but you can think of
mugs, candles, journals, ornaments, dog collars, dog bowls.
They sell shower curtains.
I mean, there's so many different options out there, but you take that design and you put it on a product in their catalog and you then list that product in your Etsy shop.
And what's so great is when that product sells from your Etsy shop,
It syncs back over to Printify and your print partner does all of the work of actually printing the product, packaging the product and shipping the product for you.
So everything that a print on demand seller does is all on the computer.
It can all be done, like I said, on your own time because there's no need for you to physically do any of the printing or packaging or shipping of the products yourself.
So for example, in my shop, I talk a lot about selling giftable or gift-focused print-on-demand products because Etsy is really pushing the platform as a
go-to place for unique gifts, meaningful gifts, et cetera.
